Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026
Versyn is built to respect your privacy. For most actions, your file stays on your device and we only ever receive its fingerprint — never the file itself. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Who we are

Versyn is operated by Versyn LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

2. Our core privacy principle

When you seal a file, the fingerprint (a one-way hash) of that file is calculated on your own device. Only that fingerprint, along with any details you choose to add (such as a filename or a name to display), is sent to us. We do not receive, upload, or store your actual file. We cannot reconstruct your file from its fingerprint.

3. Information we collect

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service, create and verify seals, process payments, support you, keep the service secure, and improve and develop new features. As our product evolves, we may use information in additional ways consistent with this policy, and we will update this policy where needed.

5. Public verification records

When you create a seal, a verification record is made available at a public link so that anyone you share it with can confirm it. That record may include the details you attached to the seal (such as a filename, a display name, and the time). Do not include information in those fields that you do not want to be publicly visible.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Versyn — such as hosting, payment processing, and analytics — and only as needed for them to perform their work. As our service grows, we may integrate with or rely on additional trusted providers and systems, under appropriate safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep seal records for as long as needed to provide verification, and account and billing information for as long as your account is active or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us, subject to records we must keep for legal or operational reasons.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but our design — keeping your files on your device and holding only fingerprints — significantly limits what could ever be exposed.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

10. Changes to this policy

As Versyn develops and adds new features, tools, and integrations, we may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above when we do, and notify you of material changes where appropriate.
